In Certain Townships, Innocent Civilians Killed and Injured by KNU and So-Called PDF Terrorists

   The terrorists, the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and the National Unity Government (NUG), with the aim of nationwide destruction, have formed the terrorists known as the so-called PDF. Under various pretexts, in some regions, they have been arresting, torturing and killing government servants, monks and innocent local residents, as well as engaging in armed clashes and carrying out attacks in wards and villages.

   Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 6 February 2026 at 9:30 AM, a report stated that the body of a man with knife and gunshot wounds was found near a football field in Pa Dauk Kone Village, Taungoo Township of Bago Region. When security personnel arrived at the scene for further investigation, the victim was identified as U Zaw Naing Than (51 years old), a resident of the village. According to the investigation, on 5 February 2026 at 7:40 PM, while the victim was at his house together with a fellow villager, U Win Myint (60 years old), approximately 19 terrorists from the KNU and so-called PDF terrorists, arriving by eight motorcycles and abducted both men. The terrorists then took them to an area about 300 meters northeast of the house, where they opened fire and stabbed U Zaw Naing Than to death, accusing him of being a “military supporter”. As a result, U Zaw Naing Than died on the spot. Later, the terrorists released U Win Myint, it is reported.

   Similarly, at 5:15 PM,on the same day, while U Sein Myint (64 years old), the village administrator, a resident of Nay Pu Kone Village in Taungoo Township, was at his house, eight terrorists from KNU and so-called PDF terrorists, arriving by five motorcycles and opened fire on him. As a result, U Sein Myint died on the spot, it is reported.

   Similarly, at 6:00 PM, on the same day, a report stated that a man with gunshot wounds was admitted to Sagaing District Public Hospital in Sagaing Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as Ko Aung Win Thein (22 years old), a resident of Shwe Min Wun Ward in Sagaing Township. According to the investigation, around 5:30 PM, while the victim was in his car on the roadside east of Sagaing University, so-called PDF terrorists approached the vehicle on foot, opened fire on him, and then fled at the scene, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.

   According to the above-mentioned cases, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate shootings and killings of innocent civilians by armed terrorists, who intended to spread fear among the public. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incidents, it is reported.
