Man Injured After Stepping on Landmine Planted by So-Called PDF Terrorist Group in Kyaukpadaung Township of Mandalay Region

     In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 16 September 2025 at 11:00 AM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Meiktila Township Public Hospital in Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as U Thein Soe (52 years old), a resident of Lat Yar Village in Kyaukpadaung Township. The incident occurred on 14 September 2025 at 8:30 AM, while the victim was on his way to In Pyin Gyi Village for shopping. Upon reaching the village, he accidentally stepped on a landmine planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group. As a result, U Thein Soe sustained shrapnel injuries to face, neck, right leg, right wrist, and hands, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
