Four Innocent Civilians Injured After Stepping Explosive Device Planted by Terrorist Group in Naungcho Township, Northern Shan State

     In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 30 May 2025 at 11:00 AM, a report stated that one man and three women with shrapnel injuries were admitted to Sao San Tun Hospital in Taungyi Township, Southern Shan State. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, they discovered that U Aung Hla (73 years old), Daw San Oo (49 years old), Daw Cho Wah Naing (36 years old), and Daw San Nu (54 years old), all residents of Met Lut Village in Naungcho Township, Northern Shan State, had been injured while on their way to a sugarcane plantation located approximately two furlongs west of their village. When they reached the plantation, Daw San Oo stepped on an explosive device planted by a terrorist group. The device exploded, causing injuries to all four individuals, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
