The Fourth Coordination Meeting of the two committees — “the Implementation Committee of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technology and e-Government Processes” and “the Implementation Committee of Case Management System” under the Supreme Court of the Union — was held this afternoon at the Meeting Hall of the Supreme Court of the Union.
At the coordination meeting, Dr. Ko Ko Naing, Judge of the Supreme Court of the Union, delivered the opening remarks. Director U Ko Ko Lwin, Deputy Director Daw Su Wai Lae and Assistant Director Daw Zin Wai Htet from the e-Government Department presented and explained the annual implementation of the Supreme Court of the Union’s e-Government initiatives, as well as the processes for enhancing judicial operations through technological support systems.
During the meeting, explanations were made regarding the implementation plans for the Supreme Court of the Union’s 8 Forward Programmes for e-Government (2026); the incorporation and implementation of technology-based systems and processes within the Judicial Strategic Plan (2023–2027) and the annual strategic action plans; plans to ensure the effective utilization of the technology-based case management system at the previously designated pilot courts so that cases may be heard and adjudicated accurately and expeditiously; preparatory measures being undertaken for the establishment of an e-Court system; the formulation of policies and guidelines, as well as awareness-raising activities, for the development and advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the judicial sector; and the ongoing reconstruction of the Mini Data Center damaged by the earthquake. The committee members attending the meeting also participated in discussions on these matters.
The coordination meeting was attended by the Committee Chairman, Dr. Ko Ko Naing, Judge of the Supreme Court of the Union, together with committee members including Directors General, the Deputy Permanent Secretary, Deputy Directors General, Directors, Deputy Directors, and responsible officials from the e-Government Department, with a total of 27 participants in attendance.
