Innocent Civilian Killed, Local Public Militia Member Injured in Small Arms Attack by So-Called PDF Terrorist Group in Myaing Township of Magway Region

     On 14 May 2025, an innocent civilian killed and a Local Public Militia member was injured in a small arm attack by a so-called PDF terrorist group in Myaing Township of Magway Region, it is reported.

     The incident occurred on 14 May 2025 at 7:15 AM, security personnel members and local Public Militia unit were providing security for civilians planting sesame in a field located about 250 meters east of Kan Ni Village in Myaing Township. At that time, a so-called PDF terrorist group attacked them with small arms. Security personnel returned fire and by 8:10 AM, the terrorist group retreated. During the incident. Daw Kaung Kyi (67 years old), a resident of the village, died on the spot. Additionally, U Tin Soe (46 years old), a member of the Local Public Militia, sustained gunshot wounds. He is currently receiving medical treatment in the village.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
