One Man and One Woman Killed, One People’s Public Militia Unit Member, Another Man and Three Women Injured in Drone Bomb Attack by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Pakokku Township of Magway Region

     Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and spread fear.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 3 January 2026 at 2:45 PM, so-called PDF terrorists conducted a drone attack by dropping bombs on the Pakokku- Myaing road near In Pin Village in Pakokku Township of Magway Region. The bombs exploded near a moving three-wheeled motorcycle on the road. As a result, the driver, U Myo Tun Oo (40 years old), a resident of No. 11 Ward in Pakokku Township and Daw Win Htay (50 years old), a resident of No. 15 Ward, died on the spot. Additionally, Ko Khant Zaw (22 years old), a resident of Lal Yar Village, Daw Khin Mar Htay (54 years old), a resident of No. 6 Ward, Daw Hlaing Hlaing Wai (29 years old), Daw Htway Tin (62 years old), both residents of No. 5 Ward and U Kyaw Myint (63 years old), a member of the People’s Militia Unit and a resident of Wat Poat Village, sustained shrapnel injuries. All deceased and injured individuals were transported to Pakokku District Public Hospital for examination and medical treatment, it is reported.

     Security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the aforementioned case, it is reported.
