Administrative Officials and Innocent Civilians Recklessly Assassinated by So-called Terrorists    

     In some townships across States and Regions, terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civillians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 17 November 2024 at 3:30 AM, a report stated that a man was shot dead in Pha Yar Village, Minbu Township of Magway Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victim was Village Administrator U Kyi Lwin (43 years old), a resident of the village. The investigation revealed that while the victim was at his house, approximately 30 so-called PDF terrorists arrived and opened fire on him. As a result, the victim died on the spot, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 3:15 PM, a report stated that a man was shot dead in Bant Bway Kone Village, Oakpho Township of Bago Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victim was Village Administrator U Aung Zaw (48 years old), a resident of the village. The investigation revealed that while the victim was at his house, two so-called PDF terrorists arriving by a motorcycle and opened fire on him, before fleeing. As a result, the victim died on the spot, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 6:30 PM, a report stated that a man was shot dead in Paw Lan Gyi Village, Paukkhaung Township. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victim was Ko Aung Htay (20 years old), a resident of the village. The investigation revealed that while the victim was at his house, seven so-called PDF terrorists arrived and opened fire on him. As a result, the victim died on the spot, it is reported.
   Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the killing and assassination of administrative officials and an innocent civillian in the aforementioned case, it is reported.
