Five Innocent Civilians, Including Child, Injured After Stepping on Improvised Explosive Devices Planted by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Nyaung-U and Pauk Townships

      In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 14 February 2026 at 11:00 AM, a report stated that two men, a woman and a child with shrapnel injuries were admitted to Nyaung-U District Public Hospital in Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victims were identified as U Min Zaw Lin (32 years old), Daw Hla Kay Thi Aung (32 years old), U Thet Lin Aung (32 years old) and Mg Zwal Wai Yan Htet (7 years old), all residents of Pyin Tine Village in Nyaung-U Township. According to the investigation, on 13 February 2026 at 5:00 PM, while the victims were heading to a water well near the village, Mg Zwal Wai Yan Htet stepped on an improvised explosive device near the well planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group, resulting in their injuries, it is reported.
      Similarly, on 14 February 2026 at 3:25 PM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Pauk Township Public Hospital in Magway Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as U Nyo Ei (69 years old), a resident of Shwe Pauk Pin Ward in Pauk Township. According to the investigation, at 2:35 PM, on the same day, while the victim was herding cows near a field about 500 meters south of the ward, he stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.
      It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents to take effective action in accordance with the law.
