Five Innocent Civilians, Including Two Children Injured in Heavy Weapon Attack by So-Called PDF terrorists in Myinmu Township of Sagaing Region

     Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, improvised rocket attacks on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and instill fear among the public.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 24 February 2026 at 3:00 PM, a report stated that five innocent civilians, including two children with shrapnel injuries were admitted to Mandalay Public Hospital in Chanayetharzan Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victims were identified as U Aung Ko Lwin (40 years old), U Win Zaw (40 years old), Daw Aye Than (42 years old), Ma Aye Myat Mon (five years old) and Ma Pyu Sein (five years old), all residents of Shwe Kyaung Kan Village in Myinmu Township of Sagaing Region. According to the investigation, on 23 February 2026 at 7:00 PM, so-called PDF terrorists fired heavy weapons into the village. The shells exploded within the village, resulting in their injuries, it is reported.

     According to the above-mentioned case, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate firing of heavy weapons, small arms, improvised rockets and drone attacks by dropping bombs on wards and villages. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incident, it is reported.
