In Certain Township, Innocent Civilians Killed and Another Injured in Heavy Weapon Attacks by So-Called PDF Terrorists

    Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, improvised rocket attacks on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and instill fear among the public.
    Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 9 April 2026 at 1:20 AM, a report stated that the body of a woman with shrapnel injuries was brought to Pwintphyu Township Public Hospital in Magway Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as Ma Phyu Phyu Thin (29 years old), a resident of Tha Nat Wa Village in Pwintphyu Township. According to the investigation, on 8 April 2026 at 10:30 PM, so-called PDF terrorists fired heavy weapons into the village. The shells exploded within the village. As a result, Ma Phyu Phyu Thin died on the spot, it is reported.
    Similarly, at 4:30 PM, a report stated that a woman with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Mandalay Public Hospital in Chanayetharzan Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as Ma Chaw Su Po (17 years old girl), a resident of Shwe San Chaung Village in Taungtha Township. According to the investigation, on 7 April 2026 at 3:00 PM, while the victim was at her house, a heavy weapon shell fired by a so-called PDF terrorists exploded nearby, resulting in her injuries, it is reported.
    According to the above-mentioned cases, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate firing of heavy weapons, small arms, improvised rockets and drone attacks by dropping bombs on wards and villages. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incidents, it is reported.
