In Certain Townships, Innocent Civilians Injured in Improvised Explosive Device Explosions Planted by Terrorists Kachin and Mandalay Region

    In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.

    Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 10 April 2026 at 11:30 AM, a report stated that a man and a woman with shrapnel injuries were admitted to Taning Township Public Hospital in Kachin State. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victims were identified as U Soe Htike Lin (35 years old) and his wife, Daw Nyo Mar Tun (26 years old), both residents of Mine Khun (Moht Khung) Village in Taning Township. According to the investigation, at 10:00 AM, on the same day, while the victims were heading to the Chaung Thar Creek near the village for fishing, they stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by KIA insurgents near the creek, resulting in their injuries, it is reported.

    Similarly, at 3:25 PM, on the same day, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Mandalay Public Hospital in Chanayetharzan Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as U Tin Mone (56 years old), a resident of Ban Mauk Town in Bamauk Township of Sagaing Region. According to the investigation, on 6 April 2026, at 8:10 AM, while the victim was farming in a plantation field about one mile east of the town, he stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by so-called PDF terrorists, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.

    It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents to take effective action in accordance with the law.
