In Certain Townships, Innocent Civilians Killed and Injured in Attacks by So-Called PDF Terrorists

     The terrorist groups, the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and the National Unity Government (NUG), with the aim of nationwide destruction, have formed the terrorist groups known as the so-called PDF. Under various pretexts, in some regions, they have been arresting, torturing, and killing government servants, monks and innocent local residents, as well as engaging in armed clashes and carrying out attacks in wards and villages.

     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 9 May 2026 at 8:15 PM, while U Myint Lwin (52 years old) the ward administrator, his wife, Daw San Htway (50 years old) and their daughter, Ma Thal Su Lwin (25 years old), all residents of San Chi Ward in Dawei Township of Tanintharyi Region, were at their house, two so-called PDF terrorists arriving by motorcycle and opened fire on them. As a result, the family sustained gunshot wounds and were transported to Dawei Township Public Hospital for medical treatment. However, U Myint Lwin and Daw San Htway succumbed to their injuries while receiving medical treatment, it is reported.

     Similarly, at 9:15 PM, on the same day, while Ko Phyu Win and his wife, Ma Pu Ma, both residents of Lal Ma Village in Sinbaungwe Township of Magway Region, so-called PDF terrorists arrived and opened fire on them, accusing them of being “decoys”. As a result, the couple died on the spot, it is reported.

     According to the above mentioned cases, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate shootings and killings of innocent civilians by armed terrorists, who intended to spread fear among the public. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incidents, it is reported.
