Innocent Civilian Injured in Attack by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Dawei Township of Tanintharyi Region

     The terrorists, the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and the National Unity Government (NUG), with the aim of nationwide destruction, have formed the terrorists known as the so-called PDF. Under various pretexts, in some regions, they have been arresting, torturing and killing government servants, monks and innocent local residents, as well as engaging in armed clashes and carrying out attacks in wards and villages.

     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 16 February 2026 at 10:40 AM, a report stated that a man with gunshot wounds was admitted to Dawei District Public Hospital in Tanintharyi Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as Ko Kaung Htet Kyaw (21 years old), a resident of Painal Taw Ward in Dawei Township. According to the investigation, at 8:20 AM, on the same day, while the victim was travelling by motorcycle to Yebyu Town, so-called PDF terrorists opened fire on him near the Pha Yar Mal check point, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.

     According to the above-mentioned case, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate shootings and killings of innocent civilians by armed terrorists, who intended to spread fear among the public. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incident, it is reported.
