Innocent Civilians Injured in Improvised Explosive Device Explosions Planted by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Salin, Pwintphyu and Madaya Townships

     In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 16 March 2026 at 1:20 PM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Sin Phyu Kyun Station Hospital in Salin Township of Magway Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as U Myint Lwin (57 years old), a resident of Si Zwal Village in Salin Township. According to the investigation, at 11:00 AM, on the same day, while the victim was catching his cows near a field about one furlong west of the village, he stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by so-called PDF terrorists, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.

     Similarly, on 16 March 2026 at 6:30 PM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Pwintphyu Township Public Hospital in Pwintphyu Township. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as U Than Zaw Hein (34 years old), a resident of Tha Nat Wa Village in Pwintphyu Township. According to the investigation, the victim was walking to a plantation field located between Tha Nat Wa Village and Kyit Kine Village. At 4:40 PM, on the same day, while he reached an area about one furlong northeast of the village, he stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by so-called PDF terrorists, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.

     Similarly, on 16 March 2026 at 6:45 PM, a report stated that a woman with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Mandalay Public Hospital in Chanayetharzan Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as Daw Khin Htay Oo (47 years old), a resident of Htan Pin Kone Village in Madaya Township. According to the investigation, at 9:00 AM, on the same day, while the victim was cleaning within her yard, she stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group, resulting in her injuries, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents to take effective action in accordance with the law.
