Innocent Civilians Injured in Improvised Explosive Device Explosions Planted by So-Called Terrorists in Madaya and Loikaw Townships

    In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.

    Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 20 March 2026 at 3:20 PM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Madaya Township Public Hospital in Madalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as U Maung Lay (59 years old), a resident of Bo Kone Village in Madaya Township. According to the investigation, at 2:00 PM, on the same day, the victim was on his way to a poultry farm in Kyar Village, he stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by so-called PDF terrorists near the farm, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.

    Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 20 March 2026 at 3:50 PM, a report stated that a woman with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Loikaw District Public Hospital in Kayah State. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as Daw Aye (55 years old), a resident of Lin Phon Lay Village in Loikaw Township. According to the investigation, at 3:30 PM, on the same day, the victim was cleaning within her yard, she stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by so-called PDF terrorists, resulting in her injuries, it is reported.

    It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents to take effective action in accordance with the law.
