Four Innocent Civilians, Including One Child, Injured in Heavy Weapon Attack by KIA Insurgents and So-Called PDF Terrorists in Bhamo Township of Kachin State

     Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and spread fear.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 14 January 2026, at 12:00 PM, a combined group of KIA insurgents and so-called PDF terrorists fired heavy weapons into Thar Si Ward in Bhamo Township of Kachin State. The shells exploded within the ward. As a result of the blasts, Daw Win Win May (51 years old), Ma Shun Myat Phu Wai (three years old), Daw Got Lu Luu Jar (56 years old) and Ma Khin San Myint (25 years old), all residents of the ward, sustained shrapnel injuries. All injured individuals were transported to a military clinic within the No. 21 Military Command Center compound for medical treatment, it is reported.

     According to the above-mentioned case, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate firing of heavy weapons, small arms, improvised rockets and drone attacks by dropping bombs on wards and villages. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incident, it is reported.
