Innocent Civilian Killed, Two Others Injured in Heavy Weapon Attacks by KIA Armed Insurgents and So-Called PDF Terrorists in Myitkyina Township of Kachin State

     Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and spread fear. They are also indiscriminately planting landmines on public roads, targeting government offices with explosives, and engaging in destructive acts without regard for reason or morality.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 24 August 2025 at 6:30 PM, a combined group of KIA armed insurgents along with so-called PDF terrorirsts fired heavy weapons into Rampu Ward, Myitkyina Township of Kachin State. One of the shells exploded within the ward. As a result, Ma Thinzar Khine (13 years old), a resident of the ward, died on the spot. Moreover, Daw Ngwe (65 years old) and Ma Zin Min (28 years old), both residents of the ward, sustained shrapnel injuries. The deceased and injured individuals were transported to Myitkyina Township Public Hospital for medical care, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
