Innocent Civilian Stabbed to Death by So-Called PDF Terrorist Group in Tamu Township of Sagaing Region

   In some townships across States and Regions, terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies”, “informants”, or “decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.

   Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 22 August 2025, at 2:25 PM, a report stated that the body of a man beheaded by knife was found near the Par Hal creek at Myoma (11) Ward in Tamu Township of Sagaing Region. When security personnel arrived at the scene for further investigation, the victim was identified as U Aung Phyo Thu (29 years old) a resident of Saw Bwar (5) Ward in Tamu Township. The incident occurred on 19 August 2025, around 6:00 AM, when the victim left his house and did not get back. A search was conducted, and it was found that the victim was abducted and killed by a so-called PDF terrorist group, accusing him of being a “decoy”, it is reported.
