Innocent Civilian Injured After Stepping Explosive Device Planted by So-Called PDF Terrorist Group in Sidoktaya Township of Magway Region

    In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
    Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 2 July 2025 at 2:00 PM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to the Sidoktaya Township Public Hospital of Magway Region. During further investigation, security personnel identified the victim as U Myint Aung (53 years old), a resident of Than Sal Village in Sidoktaya Township. The incident occurred while the victim was on his way to Ma Gyi Su Village along the Than Sal – Ma Gyi Su Village Commutable dirt road to go shopping. When he reached an area approximately two miles north of his village, he accidentally stepped on an explosive device planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group. The device exploded, causing his injuries, it is reported.
    It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
