So-Called PDF Terrorists Detonate Stun Mines in Mahlaing and Phyu Townships, Aiming to Instill Fear Among the Public

     In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 25 January 2026 at 7:05 AM, so-called PDF terrorists detonated a stun mine near a golf course in No. 3 Ward in Mahlaing Township. Additionally, at 7:10 AM, on the same day, so-called PDF terrorists detonated three stun mines near the Pa Lin Kan Pagoda in Thal Kan Village in the township. They carried out such acts with the aim of instilling fear among the public, it is reported.

     Similarly, at 6:35 AM, on the same day, so-called PDF terrorists detonated a stun mine in front of the Max Mobile phone shop located along the Yangon-Mandalay Highway in Zay Ward in Phyu Township. Furthermore, at 6:45 AM, on the same day, the terrorists detonated a stun mine beneath an Indian Almond tree at the corner of 7th Street in Yone Ward in the township. Moreover, at 7:15 AM, on the same day, the terrorists detonated a stun mine near the drain along the Kin Mon Chone Kwat Thit (23) road in Butar Taung Ward in the township. Likewise, at 10:00 AM, on the same day, they detonated a stun min in front of the Mohinga shop owned by Ma Wah in Nyaung Pin Thar Village. These acts were carried out with the aim of instilling fear among the public, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents to take effective action in accordance with the law.
