A joint group of KNU and so-called PDF terrorists entered a village and opened fire, killing three members of the village militia and injuring four others, in Ye Township of Mon State

     Terrorists have engaging in battles, carrying out attacks using heavy weapons, drones to drop bombs, and improvised explosive devices across towns and village in various states and regions. Moreover, they are committing inhuman acts of terror and criminal activities-including abducting and extorting money from local civilians and also election commission members, as well as killing. 

     In the meantime, on 7 December 2025 at 12 PM, a joint group of KNU and so-called PDF terrorists (under investigation) arrived at the village administration office in Ayu Taung Village, Ye Township of Mon State, in two vehicles and five motorcycles and opened fire with small arms. The village militia led by Ayu Taung Village Administrator U Lin Oo (59 years old) returned fire. The terrorists retreated and fled after 15 minutes of fighting and during the incident, village militia members U Yan Paing Phyo (36 years old), Maung Htun Aung (19 years old) and Ko Thar Aung (23 years old) were killed by bullet wounds. In addition, U Lin Oo, U Khaing Nyein Aung (54 years old), U Ye Min Thein (43 years old) and Ko Htet Myo (23 years old) were injured by gunfire and were taken to Ye Township General Hospital for treatment, while U Lin Oo and Ko Htet Myo were taken to the local military clinic.

     Regarding the above incident, security personnel are continuing necessary operations in accordance with standard procedures to identify, apprehend and take action against the terrorist involved, it is reported.
