Truck Burned and Destroyed in Heavy Weapon Attack by Pro-Terrorism KNU Members and So-Called PDF Terrorists in Thaton Township of Mon State

    Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and spread fear. They are also indiscriminately planting landmines on public roads, targeting government offices with explosives and engaging in destructive acts without regard for reason or morality.
    Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 6 July 2025 at 6:15 AM, a combined group of pro-terrorism KNU members, along with so-called PDF terrorists, fired heavy weapons on Za Yat Kyun Village in Thaton Township of Mon State. One of the shells struck a 22-wheeled ISUZU truck (License Plate No. MDY-15/6L-XXXX), loaded with fabrics rolls, which was parked between milepost 134/6 and 134/7 on the Yangon-Mawlamyine Road. The truck was completely destroyed by fire, but no casualties were reported.
    It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
