Senior Novice Monk Sustained Injuries After Stepping on Landmine Planted by Ta'ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) Terrorist Group in Naungcho Township of Shan State

     In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, streets, railways, government offices and houses.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 28 October 2025 at 8:30 AM, while a senior novice monk, Pyin Nyar Wuntha (48 years old), who has been in monkhood for four years and resides at a monastery in Naung Lin Village, Naungcho Township of Shan State, was cleaning in the monastery compound, he stepped on a landmine planted by Ta'ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) terrorist group. As a result, he sustained shrapnel injuries. The injured monk was transported to Naungcho Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
