Five Innocent Civilians Injured in Drone Bomb and Heavy Weapon Attacks by KNU and So-Called PDF terrorists in Hlaingbwe and Thabeikkyin Townships

Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, improvised rocket attacks on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and instill fear among the public.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 25 February 2026 at 9:30 AM, a combined group of KNU and so-called PDF terrorists conducted a drone attack by dropping bombs near Moe Naing Village in Hlaingbwe Township of Kayin State. One of the bombs exploded near the village. As a result, Daw Khin Thi (57 years old), Mg Zin Min Tun, (17 years old), Mg Kaung Htet Yan (nine years old) and Mg Hal Tar Yar (three years old), all residents of the village who were present at the incident at the time, sustained shrapnel injuries. All injured individuals were transported to Hpa-an Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Similarly, at 6:55 PM, on the same day, a report stated that a woman with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Mandalay Public Hospital in Chanayetharzan Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as Daw Tin Mar (52 years old), a resident of Pauk Ta Pin Village in Thabeikkyin Township. According to the investigation, at 11:00 AM, on the same day, a heavy weapon shell fired by so-called PDF terrorists exploded within the village, resulting in her injuries, it is reported.
According to the above-mentioned cases, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate firing of heavy weapons, small arms, improvised rockets and drone attacks by dropping bombs on wards and villages. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incidents, it is reported.
