In Certain Township, Innocent Civilian Killed and Two Others Injured in Improvised Explosive Device Explosions Planted by Terrorist Group

     In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 15 April 2026 at 5:30 PM, while Mg Naing Phyo Wai (14 years old) and Mg Aung Pyay Chit (10 years old), both residents of Gon Nyin Seik Village in Dawei Township of Tanintharyi Region, were cleaning within their yard, they stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by so-called PDF terrorists. As a result, Mg Aung Pyay Chit died on the spot, while Mg Naing Phyo Wai sustained shrapnel injuries. The deceased and the injured individuals were transported to Dawei Township Public Hospital for examination and medical treatment, it is reported.

     Similarly, on 16 April 2026 at 12:30 PM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Naungcho Township Public Hospital in Shan State. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as U Kyaw Ye Lwin (33 years old), a resident of Myat Che Nu Village in Naungcho Township. According to the investigation, at 11:15 AM, on the same day, while the victim was working in his sugarcane plantation, he stepped to an improvised explosive device planted by the TNLA terrorist group, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.

     Similarly, at 2:00 PM, a report stated that an explosion occurred at Nan Taw Kone Ward in Meiktila Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the scene to conduct further investigation, it was found that so-called PDF terrorists had detonated an explosive device at a municipal sewage treatment plant in the ward. As a result, 10 galvanized roofs of the plant were damaged, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents to take effective action in accordance with the law.
