Innocent Civilians, Including Civil Servant Injured in Heavy Weapon And Drone Attacks by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Htigyaing and Myingyan Townships

     Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, improvised rocket attacks on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and instill fear among the public.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 3 April 2026 at 7:30 AM, a report stated that a child with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Mandalay Public Hospital in Chanayetharzan Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as Mg Khant Bone Naing (13 years old), a resident of Kyauk Hta Yan Village in Htigyaing Township of Sagaing Region. According to the investigation, on 2 April 2026 at 10:00 AM, while the victim was at his house, a heavy weapon shell fired by so-called PDF terrorists exploded nearby resulting in his injuries, it is reported.

     Similarly, on 3 April 2026 at 11:00 AM, so-called PDF terrorists conducted an attack using three fixed wing drones by dropping bombs on No. 2 Ward in Myingyan Township of Mandalay Region. The bombs exploded within the ward. As a result, U Zaw Min (50 years old), a driver from the Myingyan Township Development Committee Office, and Mg Myint Myat Aung (four years old), both residents of the ward, sustained shrapnel injuries and were transported to Myingyan District Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.

     According to the above-mentioned cases, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate firing of heavy weapons, small arms, improvised rockets and drone attacks by dropping bombs on wards and villages. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incidents, it is reported.
