Innocent Civilians Killed and Injured in Improvised Explosive Device Explosions Planted by So-Called Terrorists in Mogok, Palaw and Chauk Townships

     In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 24 March 2026 at 12:20 AM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Mandalay Public Hospital in Chanayetharzan Township. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as Ko Nay Lin Htet (28 years old), a resident of Bo Kone Village in Mogok Township. According to the investigation, on 23 March 2026 at 1:20 PM, while the victim was cutting firewood in a forest west of Bal Lone Gyi Village, he stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by so-called PDF terrorists, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.

     Similarly, on 24 March 2026 at 11:40 AM, while Ko Aung Soe (21 years old), a resident of Mee Laung Chaung Village in Palaw Township of Tanintharyi Region, was picking vegetables in an orchard about one furlong west of the village, he stepped on improvised explosive device planted by so-called PDF terrorists. As a result, Ko Aung Soe sustained shrapnel injuries and was transported to Myeik Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.

     Similarly, on 24 March 2026 at 12:30 PM, a report stated that the bodies of a man and woman, along with a woman by shrapnel, were brought to Chauk Township Public Hospital in Magway Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, it was found that U Han Lin (58 years old), his wifeDaw Maw Maw Htay (50 years old), a rural medical officer from Pa Khan Nge Village, and their daughter, Ma Khin Su Su Han (17 years old), all residents of Min Kan Village in Chauk Township, were travelling by motorcycle to Chauk Town. When they reached an area about two furlongs north of Ma Gyi Sauk (East) Village, an improvised explosive device planted by so-called PDF terrorists exploded on the roadside. As a result, U Han Lin and Daw Maw Maw Htay died on the spot, while Ma Khin Su Su Han sustained shrapnel injuries, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents to take effective action in accordance with the law.
