Innocent Civilians Killed and Injured in Improvised Explosive Device Explosions Planted by Terrorists in Hopone and Kyaukgyi Townships

     In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses. 

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 1 April 2026 at 4:30 PM, Ko Soe Htet Zaw (23 years old), Ko Htet Myat (21 years old), both residents of Lal Khaung Village in Yatsauk Township of Shan State and Ko Phoe Phyu (30 years old), a resident of Par Mal Village, were repairing the bridge over Nant Lan Creek, an improvised explosive device planted by so-called PDF terrorists exploded at the center of the bridge. As a result, they sustained shrapnel injuries and were transported to Yatsauk Township Public Hospital. However, Ko Htet Myat succumbed to his injuried while being transported to the hospital, it is reported.

     Similarly, 2 April 2026 at 5:45 AM, while U Kyaw Thu (47 years old), a resident of Mone Village in Kyaukgyi Township of Bago Region, was on his way to pick vegetables, he stepped on a landmine planted by a combined group of KNU and so-called PDF terrorists near Yae-O Sin Cemetery about two furlongs west of the village. As a result, U Kyaw Thu sustained shrapnel injuries and was transported to Taungoo District Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents to take effective action in accordance with the law.
