Monk Injured in Drone Bomb Attack by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Myaung Township of Sagaing Region

     Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, improvised rocket attacks on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and instill fear among the public.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 27 February 2026 at 10:20 AM, a report stated that a monk with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Mandalay Public Hospital in Chanayetharzan Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as Sein Di (29 years old) monk with two years of monkhood, from Aung Pin Lal Monastery in Myothit Ward in Myaung Township of Sagaing Region. According to the investigation, on 26 February 2026 at 1:15 PM, while the victim was at the Mahar Betel Shop located about 200 feet west of the monastery, a bomb dropped by a drone operated by so-called PDF terrorists exploded nearby, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.

     According to the above-mentioned case, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate firing of heavy weapons, small arms, improvised rockets and drone attacks by dropping bombs on wards and villages. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incident, it is reported.
