Six Innocent Civilians Injured in Heavy Weapon Attack by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Phaungpyin Township of Sagaing Region

Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, improvised rocket attacks on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and instill fear among the public.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 9 May 2026 at 1:20 PM, a heavy weapon shell fired by so-called PDF terrorists exploded within Ingyin Myaing Ward in Phaungpyin Township of Sagaing Region. As a result, Ko Sai Min Khant (20 years old), U Aung Shwe (60 years old), Mg Hlaing Min Tun (18 years old), Daw Chaw Su (51 years old), Daw Wine Sein (31 years old) and Daw Ei Ei Phyo (32 years old), all residents of the ward, sustained shrapnel injuries and were transported to Phaungpyin Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
According to the above-mentioned case, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate firing of heavy weapons, small arms, improvised rockets and drone attacks by dropping bombs on wards and villages. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incident, it is reported.
