Terrorists Blow up Reinforced Concrete Bridge in Oktwin Township

With an intention to disrupt local road connections, terrorists with political extremist are committing acts of sabotages such as setting fire to and blowing up roads and bridges being used for public transportation. In the evening of 8 December, terrorists blew up Tha-yat-seik reinforced concrete bridge located between the milepost of 2/142 and 3/142 of the Yangon-Mandalay Highway near Htan-kone (South) village of Oktwin Township of Bago region. Due to the blast, 12 feet-long damage occurred at the one side of the 24 feet in-length and 38 feet in-width concrete bridge.

With the intention of triggering utter devastation, PDF terrorists, under the guidance of NUG, vandalizes state-owned and private infrastructure, non-military targets of public properties, roads and bridges being used for public transportation for no reasons. Since their vandalism creates problems for the public transportation, the entire population is disgusted by their acts of terrorism.

The relevant officials are doing repairs for the bridge damaged by the terrorists in the above-mentioned incident, and the security forces are taking necessary measures to take legal action against those who blew up the bridge and to ensure peace and stability in the area, it is reported.
