Two Children Injured in Heavy Weapon Attack by Terrorists in Kawkareik Township of Kayin State

     Terrorists committing terrorist activities have been engaging in battles, firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets and dropping bombs using drones into the public towns, wards and villages.
     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 23 March 2025 at 5:30 PM, a so-called PDF terrorist faction fired heavy weapons into No.2 Ward in Kawkareik Township of Kayin State. One of the heavy weapon shells exploded within the ward, injuring Mg Sai Wai Yan Myo (11 years old) and Ma Lin Lae Nay Che (six years old), both residents of the ward. The injured children were transported to Hpa-an District Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
     Due to the heinous acts of armed terrorists such as engaging in battles and firing of heavy weapons and improvised rockets within towns, wards and villages where innocent civilians peacefully reside, innocent civilians are injured or killed. Consequently, local residents are protesting vehemently against these acts of terrorism, completely refusing to accept them. Security personnel are intensifying necessary security measures in collaboration with the local residents, it is reported.
