A money remittance/phone card shop was damaged when a joint group of KNU and PDF terrorists threw a grenade in Myawaddy Township of Kayin State

     Terrorists have engaging in battles, carrying out attacks using heavy weapons, drones to drop bombs and improvised explosive devices across towns and village in various states and regions. Moreover, they are committing inhuman acts of terror and criminal activities-including abducting and extorting money from local civilians and also election commission members, as well as killing. 

     On 6 December 2025 at 10:05 PM, security personnel responded to a report of an explosion in Ward No. (2) of Myawaddy Township of Kayin State. Two members of a joint group of KNU and PDF terrorists arrived on a motorcycle in front of a money remittance /phone card shop in that ward, threw a hand grenade and fled. That grenade exploded near the shop, damaging a money transfer/phone card shop measuring 6 feet long and 6 feet wide, with a galvamized iron roof, plywood walls and a floor, Fortunately, no one was injured.

     Regarding the above incident, security personnel are continuing necessary operations in accordance with standard procedures to identify, apprehend and take action against the terrorist involved, it is reported.
