Junior Assistant Teacher Released from So-Called PDF Terrorist Group in Pakokku Township of Magway Region

    Terrorist groups have been engaging in battles, carrying out attacks using heavy weapons, drones to drop bombs and improvised explosive devices across towns and villages in various states and regions. Moreover, they are committing inhumane acts of terror and criminal activities including abducting and extorting money from local civilians, as well as killings.
    Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 28 July 2025 at 3:00 PM, Daw Kyi Kyi Shwe (58 years old), a junior assistant teacher from the Sub Basic Education High School (Ayardaw) and a resident of Ayardaw Village in Pakokku Township of Magway Region, was abducted from her house by a so-called PDF terrorist. The terrorist threatened and forced her to turn into a disloyalty civil servant, and if she fail to do so house would be confiscated and she would be no longer allowed to live in the village. The victim was released on 5 August 2025 at 12:00 PM, when she was blindfolded and dropped off by motorcycle in front of her house, it is reported.
    Regarding the above incident, security personnel are continuing necessary operations in accordance with standard procedures to identify, apprehend, and take action against the terrorists involved, it is reported.
