Civil Servant Along with Vehicle Abducted by So-Called PDF Terrorist Group in Minbu Township of Magway Region

     Terrorist groups have been engaging in battles, carrying out attacks using heavy weapons, drones to drop bombs and improvised explosive devices across towns and villages in various states and regions. Moreover, they are committing inhumane acts of terror and criminal activities including abducting and extorting money from local civilians, as well as killings.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 9 October 2025 at 5:00 PM, U Than Toe Aung (41 years old), a grade-4 Junior Engineer from No. 11 Special Road Team of the Road Department in Minbu Township of Magway Region, was transporting nine workers to repair the Minbu-Salin road to Phyu Kone Village by a SKAT vehicle (license plate No. MGY-19 1M/XXXX) driven by U Thein Lin Aung. After dropping off the workers, the vehicle was returning to Minbu Town. When the vehicle reached the area Si Thar Village, approximately 20 so-called PDF terrorists forced it to stop and abducted U Than Toe Aung along with the vehicle, but later released the driver, it is reported.

     Regarding the above incident, security personnel are continuing necessary operations in accordance with standard procedures to identify, apprehend and take action against the terrorists involved, it is reported.
