Two Innocent Civilians Abducted and Shot Dead by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Chauk Township of Magway Region

   In some townships across States and Regions, terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views ‘anyone with differing views is an enemy’ are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of ‘spies, informants or decoys’. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.

   Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 11 December 2025, 1:00 PM, a report stated that the bodies of two men, with their face covered and gunshot wounds, were found near the railway track close to Kyi Ni Village in Chauk Township of Magway Region. When security personnel arrived at the scene for further investigation, the victims were identified as U Kyaw Aye (61 years old), a resident of No. 10 Ward in Chauk Township, and U Khin Maung Naing (61 years old), a resident of Gway Cho Village. On 7 December 2025, they were travelling by car from Chauk Town to Gway Cho Village along the Chauk-Molar-Gway Cho road. Around 3:30 PM on the same day, a so-called PDF terrorists forced their vehicle to stop and abducted them. The terrorists then took them to the location of the incident, where they opened fire on them. As a result, both men died on the spot, it is reported.

   Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the aforementioned case, it is reported.
