Five Civilians, Including Two Children, Injured in Drone Bomb Attack by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Yesagyo Township of Magway Region

     Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and spread fear.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 3 January 2026 at 2:40 PM, so-called PDF terrorists conducted a drone attack by dropping bombs on No. 4 Ward in Yesagyo Township of Magway Region. One of the bombs exploded on the “Shwe Lyun Pyan” tugboat carrying coal, which was stopped along the bank of the Chindwin River. As a result, U Nay Myo (26 years old), an assistant steersman of the boat, a resident of Hin Thar Pho Village in Singu Township of Mandalay Region, his wife, Daw Ei Ei Thu (27 years old), their children, Mg Min Pyae Lyan (two years old) and Ma Poe Yati Htet (nine years old), U Naing Oo (42 years old), a mechanic of the boat and a resident of No. 4 Ward in Ah Htaung Town, Kyonpyaw Township of Ayeyarwaddy Region, who were present on the boat at the time, sustained shrapnel injuries from the blast. All injured individuals were transported to Yesagyo Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.

     Security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the aforementioned case, it is reported.
