Innocent Civilian Abducted with Mobile Phone and Motorcycle by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Minbu Township of Magway Region

     Terrorists have been engaging in battles, carrying out attacks using heavy weapons, drones to drop bombs and improvised explosive devices across towns and villages in various states and regions. Moreover, they are committing inhumane acts of terror and criminal activities-including abducting and extorting money from local civilians and also election commission members, as well as killings.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 8 January 2026 at 3:30 PM, U Min Zaw (53 years old), a resident of Zee Eai Village in Minbu Township of Magway Region, was returning on his motorcycle from his plantation field near the village. When he reached an area near the Minbu – Padan Road, four so-called PDF terrorists arriving by two motorcycle and abducted him, along with his mobile phone and motorcycle, it is reported.

     Regarding the above incident, security personnel are continuing necessary operations in accordance with standard procedures to identify, apprehend and take action against the terrorists involved, it is reported.
