100-Household Elder Shot Dead by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Taungdwingyi Township of Magway Region

     The terrorists, the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and the National Unity Government (NUG), with the aim of nationwide destruction, have formed the terrorists known as the so-called PDF. Under various pretexts, in some regions, they have been arresting, torturing and killing government servants, monks and innocent local residents, as well as engaging in armed clashes and carrying out attacks in wards and villages.

     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 1 February 2026 at 10:50 AM, a 100-household elder, U Kyaw Soe (62 years old), a resident of Nhet Pyaw Taw Village in Taungdwingyi Township of Magway Region, was returning home on foot from Aung Khine Village. On the same day, when he reached near his village, four so-called PDF terrorists arrived on two motorcycles and opened fire on him. As a result, U Kyaw Soe died on the spot, it is reported.

     According to the above-mentioned case, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate shootings and killings of innocent civilian by armed terrorists, who intended to spread fear among the public. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incident, it is reported.
