Civil Servant Abducted by So-Called PDF Terrorist Group in Taungthar Township of Mandalay Region

Terrorist groups have been engaging in battles, carrying out attacks using heavy weapons, drones to drop bombs and improvised explosive devices across towns and villages in various states and regions. Moreover, they are committing inhumane acts of terror and criminal activities-including abducting and extorting money from civil servants, administrative officials and local civilians, as well as killings.
     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 11 August 2025 at 11:00 AM, a report stated that U Kyaw Yin (30 years old), a junior assistant teacher and a physical education teacher from the Sub-Basic Education High School (Ah-Neint) in Myingyan Township of Mandalay Region, had been abducted by a so-called PDF terrorist group. When security personnel conducted further investigation, they found that the victim was travelling from Myingyan Town to Mandalay City on 7 August 2025 by passenger vehicle to attend a refresher course at the Civil Service Academy (Upper Myanmar). When the vehicle reached an area near the Nyaung Tho Village fork road in Taungtha Township, the so-called PDF terrorists forced it to stop and conducted inspections before abducting the victim, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 2:00 PM, a report stated that a woman had been abducted by a so-called PDF terrorist group near Nyaung Tho Village fork road in Taungtha Township. When security personnel conducted further investigation, the victim was identified as Daw Thin Thin Khine (aka) Mi Mi Lay (51 years old), a staff officer from the Immigration Department in Nay Pyi Taw. The incident occurred on 8 August 2025, while the victim was traveling from Nay Pyi Taw to Myingyan Town in a passenger vehicle. When the vehicle reached the fork road area, the so-called PDF terrorists forced it to stop and conducted inspections before abducting the victim, it is reported.
     Regarding the above incident, security personnel are continuing necessary operations in accordance with standard procedures to identify, apprehend and take action against the terrorists involved, it is reported.
