Innocent Civilian Injured in Attack by So-Called PDF Terrorist Group in Ingapu Township of Ayeyawady Region

     In some townships across States and Regions, terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.

      Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 3 August 2025 at 1:30 PM, U Aung Aung (42 years old) and his son, Mg Kaung Khant Aung (five years old), both residents of Kyee Pin Village in Ingapu Township of Ayeyawady Region, were returning to their village by motorcycle from an Acacia Mangium plantation located between Chin Kike Kwin Village and Wah Taw Kwin Village. When they reached an area outside of the plantation, three so-called PDF terrorists opened fire on them and then fled the scene. As a result, U Aung Aung sustained gunshot wounds, while Mg Kaung Khant Aung was unharmed. U Aung Aung was transported to Kwin Kaunk Station Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.

     Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the aforementioned case, it is reported.
