Civil Servant and Innocent Civilian Shot Dead by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Minhla Township of Magway Region

     In some townships across States and Regions, terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are civil servants and innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 7 May 2025 at 2:45 PM, a report stated that a man and a woman were shot dead in Kan Ni Village, Minhla Township of Magway Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene to conduct further investigation, the victims were identified as U Khin Maung Sein (58 years old) and his wife, Daw Khin Moe Than (61 years old), a junior assistant teacher at the Basic Education Middle School of Kan Ni Village, both residents of the village. They were at their house when four so-called PDF terrorists arriving by two motorcycles and opened fire on them. As a result, the couple died on the spot, it is reported. 
     Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible in the aforementioned case, it is reported.
