Innocent Civilian Injured in Attack by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Tanintharyi Township of Tanintharyi Region

     The terrorist groups, the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and the National Unity Government (NUG), with the aim of nationwide destruction, have formed the terrorist groups known as the so-called PDFs. Under various pretexts, in some regions, they have been arresting, torturing, and killing government servants, monks and innocent local residents, as well as engaging in armed clashes and carrying out attacks in wards and villages.

     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 10 April 2026 at 2:40 PM, a report stated that a man with gunshot wounds was admitted to Tanintharyi Township Public Hospital in Tanintharyi Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as U Than Lwin (46 years old), a resident of Hton Ma Khar Village in Tanintharyi Township. According to the investigation, at 2:00 PM, on the same day, while the victim was fishing at a lake near the village, he sustained gunshot wounds recklessly fired by so-called PDF terrorists, it is reported.

     According to the above mentioned case, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate shootings and killings of innocent civilians by armed terrorists, who intended to spread fear among the public. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incident, it is reported.
