Vice-Chairman of State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win Pays Homage to Remains of SSMNC Chairman Bhamo Sayadaw, and Inspects Preparations for Final Rites Ceremony 

Chairman of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Presiding Patron of Bhamo Monastery in Mahanwesin Ward of Mahaaungmye Township in Mandalay Region Abhidhaja Maha Rattha Guru Abhidhaja Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotika Bhaddanta Kumara Bhivamsa, aged 94, vasa 74, passed away on 25 May (Thursday), 7^th waxing of Nayon, 1385 ME.

The SAC Vice-Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win and the SAC members, accompanied by officials, paid homage to the remains of Bhamo Sayadaw which was kept at Bhamo Monastery for public obeisance on 5^th June. First, the SAC Vice-Chairman Deputy Prime Minister and party supplicated preparations for holding the final rites of the Bhamo Sayadaw to the members of the Sangha and coordinated necessary measures. Then, the SAC Vice-Chairman Deputy Prime Minister and officials took the Five Precepts from the Presiding Patron of Masoeyein Taikthit Monastery and offered alms and day meals to the members of the Sangha.

Later, the SAC Vice-Chairman Deputy Prime Minister and party inspected the preparations for the final rites ceremony of the Bhamo Sayadaw Dr. Bhaddanta Kumara Bhivamsa, and fulfilled the requirements.
