Administrative Officials Recklessly Assassinated by So-called PDF Terrorists

     In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are civil servants, administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants, or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.

     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on July 3, 2024 at 10:45 AM, security personnel received a report of a man was shot in Sel Lal Village, Thayet Township, Magway Region. When security personnel arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victim was U Soe Naing (55 years old) a 100-household elder and a resident of the village. While he was in the house of U Phoe Phyu, a resident of the village, three so-called PDF terrorists arrived and opened fire on him. As a result, U Soe Naing died on the spot, it is reported.

     Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the killing and assassination of an administrative official in the aforementioned case, it is reported.
