Innocent Civilian Injured After Stepping Explosive Device Planted by KIA Insurgents and So-called PDF Terrorists in Tanaing Township of Kachin State

     In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 18 May 2025 at 8:30 AM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to the Tanaing Township Public Hospital of Kachin State. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, they discovered that the victim was identified as U Tuu Aung Sai (35 years old), a resident of Ming Khun (Moht Khung) Village in Tanaing Township. The incident occurred while he was en route to the San Lwin gold mine prospecting site (locally known by that name) near his village. Upon reaching the site, he stepped on an explosive device planted by a group of KIA insurgents, along with so-called PDF terrorists. The device exploded, causing his injuries, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
