So-Called PDF Terrorists Rob Gold Items and Cash, Abduct Two Civilians in Ward, Monywa Township of Sagaing Region

   Armed terrorists are committing acts of violence in towns and villages across various regions and states. These acts include the arrest and extortion of civil servants and innocent civilians living peacefully, as well as the murder of these individuals. The groups also use weapons to threaten and rob people of their valuable possessions, including cars and motorcycles.

   Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 8 February 2026 at 4:30 AM, U Say Hlaing Win (42 years old), a resident of Bone Soe Ward in Monywa Township of Sagaing Region, was at his house when four so-called PDF terrorists, arriving by car, robbed him of the various types of gold items and approximately MMK 60 lakh. Additionally, the terrorists then abducted U Say Hlaing Win and his daughter, Ma Sanda Tha Khin (13 years old), it is reported.

   Regarding the above incident, security personnel are continuing necessary operations in accordance with standard procedures to identify, apprehend and take action against the terrorists involved, it is reported.
