Innocent Civilian Injured After Stepping on Explosive Device Planted by So-called PDF Terrorists in Wetlet Township of Sagaing Region

     In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 18 May 2025 at 12:05 PM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to the Wetlet Township Public Hospital of Sagaing Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, they discovered that the victim was identified as U Kyaw Min Tun (35 years old), a resident of No.1 Ward in Wetlet Town. The incident occurred while he was heading to the outskirts of the town to herd goats. When he approached the Wetlet-Thar Line Village Commutable Road, located on the town’s outskirts, he triggered an improvised explosive device planted by a so-called PDF terrorist faction. The device exploded, causing his injuries, it is reported.

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
