So-Called PDF Terrorist Group Attacks Truck with Mine in Palaw Township of Tanintharyi Region

     Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and spread fear. They are also indiscriminately planting landmines on public roads, targeting government offices with explosives and engaging in destructive acts without regard for reason or morality.

     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 12 August 2025 at 7:30 AM, a truck (license plate No. 4Q-XXXX), driven by U Min Lwin (32 years old), a resident of Insein Township of Yangon Region, encountered a landmine attack. Passengers on board were U Ye Htut (37 years old), a resident of Mingalardon Township; U Chit Min Thu (36 years old), Ko Kyaw Kyaw Aung (21 years old), both residents of Kyaungkon Township of Ayeyarwady Region and Ko Kyaw Swar Htway (22 years old), a resident of Eainme Township. The truck was travelling from Kawthoung Town to Yangon City. When the truck reached an area near Ta Po Bridge in Ta Po Village, Palaw Township, due to a landmine attack of a so-called PDF terrorist group the left window pane of the truck was damaged but no injuries were reported. 

     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
