Innocent Civilian Killed by Reckless Gunfire from So-Called PDF Terrorists in Yebyu Township of Tanintharyi Region

     The terrorists, the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and the National Unity Government (NUG), with the aim of nationwide destruction, have formed the terrorists known as the so-called PDF. Under various pretexts, in some regions, they have been arresting, torturing and killing loyal government employees who are dutifully performing their duties, monks and innocent local residents.

     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 15 January 2026 U Khin Maung Thant (46 years old), a resident of Thar Yar Mon Village in Yebyu Township of Tanintharyi Region, was returning from Yebyu town on his motorcycle. At 11:40 AM, on the same day, when he reached the vicinity of the village, he sustained gunshot wounds aftrer shots were recklessly fired by so-called PDF terrorists. He was transported to Ye Township Public Hospital for medical treatment. Unfortunately, U Khin Maung Thant succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment, it is reported.

     According to the above-mentioned case, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate shootings and killings of innocent civilians by armed terrorists, who intended to spread fear among the public. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incident, it is reported.
